Here for bereaved children and their families in Northamptonshire
Our Story

Who?
The Seddon Legacy Project has been created by Anne-Marie.
Anne-Marie has a background in health and social
care and has always thrived helping others.
She has a Level 5 in the subject and has worked in lots of different roles providing care for others.

In April 2024, sadly Anne-Marie's former partner and father to her two small children aged 2 and 4 at the time, completed suicide unexpectedly.
It was a complete shock to the family but especially difficult for her two children.

With a lack of support for her own children, Anne-Marie did local research into what the community needed in this area, for bereaved children. With an incredible response with almost all respondents agreeing the need, Anne-Marie created the project.

"The project has been created to provide easy, simple support to children when they need it most. Grief is a very difficult emotion to navigate as adults - so for children we can appreciate this becomes heightened. In providing a friendly face and a safe space for the children to have open conversations and discuss worries surrounding their bereavement, I think is more beneficial and effective than a professional approach. The approach can sometimes be a long process and costly, which makes the project more inclusive for all."
